The 1926 Philadelphia Mint peace dollar issue typically has a satin finish and good luster. The fairly low mintage makes it a slightly better date than the earlier Philadelphia dates in the series. Many coins have a golden patina on the surfaces. All 1926 Peace dollars were produced from a master die with a retouched GOD’ on the obverse. Coins in higher grades should be easy to locate. Seek out coins with a good luster and a strong strike.
