From the Time Machine. It doesnt always work. I thought it would be nice to do something with the Santa Fe 2913 on display in Ft Madison, IA. While it may have seemed like a good idea, the effort really didnt produce a good photo. Yes, we have a working train in the photo, which I think is the eastbound San Francisco Chief, but the image just doesnt look either exciting or meaningful. One of the problems is lighting. With no way to elevate the flash reflectors, I had no choice but to put them on the ground, hiding them from the camera as best as I could. Then, there was the problem of the chain link fence. I did have a High-Boy tripod with 4 segment leg extensions witch gave the camera height, but the darn fence was still dead center in the frame. Lighting a train at night doesnt always produce a more interesting image. I tried my best.
