Mrklin H0 - 3469 - Electric locomotive E-19 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DRB). With original packaging and booklet Company Number: E 19 12. Red livery with a metal grey roof. Dark grey covers with red spoked wheels. The Eagle with the (blanked out) Swastika on the locomotive will of course always remain controversial. With a Delta decoder for use in both analogue and digital modes. The locomotive is entirely made out of metal with plastic parts, such as the covers on the axles. Undamaged and no paintwork issues. At 1 end the bracket coupling is loose, but undamaged, please see the photos. Tested and fully functional. This locomotive has 3-point front signal lighting that alternates with changes in the direction of travel. The length between the buffers is: 19.5 cm. Fitted with close coupling backdrops. A stunning locomotive, especially when seen in combination with a number of streamlined carriages. Nowadays one struggles to find locomotives and carriages from ERA II, that naturally mak es this a rather special Series E19. The Eagle with the (blanked out) Swastika on the locomotive will of course always remain controversial. The Series E19 was built for high speed passenger traffic. As from the 1930s, streamlined carriages were built specifically for this purpose. The typical composition of a train with a Series E19 consists of a number of olive green streamlined carriages (for example the Mrklin 43201, 43211, 43221 and 43231), a red Mitropa dining carriage (for example a Mrklin 43241), and possibly a red Mitropa sleeper carriage (for example a Mrklin 43251) and an olive green postal carriage (for example a Mrklin 43261). Please see all the photos of this very heavy, and powerful locomotive. The presentation rail is not included in this lot.
